Instrumental Music lessons are available on a user-pays system. These are available for students in Years 3 to 6. These occur during school hours on a rotational basis (where possible), and are either individual or group-based. Tuition is offered for the following instruments: Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Guitar and Bass Guitar.
Instrumental students are able to attend excursions - to meet, play and perform with other instrumental students and instrumental groups at our sister Lutheran schools in the Brisbane North area.
All students who learn an instrument (with the exception of Piano) are also expected to participate in a band or ensemble. St Paul's runs two String Ensembles, a Concert Band, and several guitar groups. Some students may also be offered a place in an extension group, such a the Celtic Violin group which rehearses each week at Grace Lutheran College, Caboolture.
St Paul's celebrates the achievements of its instrumental students with regular concert nights and from time to time, Music Camps (weekend-based).
