Dear Parents and Caregivers
This week’s devotion is one which I shared with the Executive Team at our meeting yesterday. It also ties in with the first Fruit of the Spirit – LOVE – which was covered by Pastor Mike at our school chapel services two weeks ago. The challenge for all of us is to show ongoing unconditional love to others as we go about our respective daily journeys.
It was wonderful to see such a large turnout of parents, carers, family and friends at yesterday’s 2017 student leaders induction service. Congratulations to all these students on taking up these various leadership roles and responsibilities in the school. May God bless each and every one of you as you grow your gifts and talents as our 2017 leaders.
Interviews for Prep 2018 will begin next month – can you believe it! If, as a current family, you have not yet submitted an application form to the school, will you please do so in the coming week by contacting Donna Graham. If you know of any family, friends or neighbours who have a student due to attend Prep at St Paul’s in 2018, please make them aware of this matter.
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, St Paul’s is looking to continue with Parent Consultative Group [PCG] in 2017. The purpose of this group is to work closely with the P&F Executive to consider matters and make decisions about certain matters pertaining to the school. These parents will be identified as a “go to” person for any school matters which may require further parent input. This can be done via a chat with one of the PCG Representatives, writing a letter to the PCG or emailing the PCG. We look forward to this initiative been put into place by the end of Term 1. A letter explaining this initiative further and subsequently response section has been included in this week’s newsletter. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Good luck to our Senior School students [Years 3 -6] as they get ready for our inter-house swimming carnival on Thursday. We hope to see many parents supporting the students on the day – and don’t forget that all important students vs parents vs staff relay at the end of the carnival!
Congratulations to the following Junior School students on achieving the first Student of the Week awards for 2017:
Yr 1 Yr 2
Mary D Dallas C
Amelia B Milly F
We look forward to welcoming our Prep students to both Chapel and Assembly this week.
Have a wonderful week.
Yours in Christ
Anton Prinsloo, Principal
