St Paul's Lutheran Primary School and Kindergarten

Caboolture, Queensland

Term 2 Week 9

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Today we had the opportunity to stop and show our appreciation to our school's Administration Team as part of School Officer's Day. This group of highly dedicated members of staff form the backbone of what keeps our school moving forward on a daily basis. Not a day goes by without this group keeping us all in touch, through a range of jobs, with the A-Z of school life at St Paul's. Thank you to this group for the care, patience, attention to detail and service which you bring to our school – we salute you!

Our Senior School Robotics Club had 7 teams participate in their second competition of the season up at Noosa on the weekend. Congratulations to one of our Year 6 teams on coming first in the "Line following Competition" which I am told was the most difficult part of the day's competitions. Well done to all concerned and it was great to see that the new Robotics Club shirts arrived in time for the Saturday's competition. [See detailed report in this week's newsletter]
Thank you for the generous donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries last Friday as part of our school fundraising effort for the Loaves and Fishes Food Bank in Caboolture. Our contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of many families and especially children within the local community. Thank you to our Service Captains, Maddy and William, and our Chaplain, Teneille, for initiating and organising this project as part of the school's service learning focus for Term 2.

Athletics season is almost upon us! The Junior School [Prep – Year 2] will get the competition season underway when they participate in their carnival on Friday. All parents, carers, family members and friends are invited to come spend the day with us. The day will get underway at 8:45am and conclude around 12:15pm with the sprints and relays events. See you there!
The Senior School [Year 3 -6] will have their athletics next week on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 June.

We look forward to being part of the Year 1 School Sunday this weekend. A lot of hard work and rehearsing has been happening over the past few weeks in readiness for this special event.

Please take note of the reminder, with this week's newsletter, with regards to accessing your student's Semester 1 report online at the start of Term 3. We would like to be certain that every family is ready to access the reports online via the school's Parent Lounge function. Please note that both the Prep and Instrumental Music Reports will be sent home in hard copy due to their format being different to the school's main student reports. Reports will be available either online or sent home on Wednesday 18 July.

Student Achievements— Congratulations to Sophie R in Year 5 who has competed and achieved the following result in Gymnastics over the past weekend. Sophie obtained an overall score of 34.225, placing 4th on bars, 3rd on beam and 2nd on floor. Sophie placed 6th overall in her division. Well done Sophie, we are very proud of you! IMAGINE, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE.!

Have a safe week.

Yours in Christ.
