St Paul's Lutheran Primary School and Kindergarten

Caboolture, Queensland

Term 3 Week 7

Dear Parents and Caregivers

It was wonderful to host 133 Dads, Granddads and Sons last Thursday afternoon as part of our Father's Day celebrations at St Paul's. Thank you for your engagement in this event as a family. I hope that you have all been able to take away one idea from the information which was shared with us by our guest speaker Matt Strickland. Thank you to the men from Caboolture Shed Happens for cooking our dinner and to those school staff who supported the event in so many different ways. Your feedback, either via an email or in writing, on the event and the format used this year will be greatly appreciated.

Well done to the GSP Netball club on an outstanding season which came to a head on Saturday with 3 of the teams involved in Grand Final matches. All came away with a clean sweep of their respective Grand Final Games. Congratulations to the GSP Cyclones on being one of the winning teams with the majority of this team made up of Year 5 and 6 students from St Paul's. On behalf of St Paul's, I'd like to thank the players, coaches, parents and other supporters for a tremendous season.

We are now two weeks into our final Inquiry Learning cycle for this year. If you wish to see and find out more about the rich learning which is happening around the school over the coming weeks, please feel free to peruse the Prep – Year 6 Inquiry Learning information which is on display in the main undercover area. The processes, which will be happening for every students' learning, as well as the final product, will be shared with you as a family at the next Learning Expo which will be held from 4pm – 5pm on Wednesday 14 November. Please put this event in your Term 4 diary.

This coming Friday is National Teacher Assistants' Day. At St Paul's we are blessed with a remarkable group of classroom and Learning Support assistants who touch young lives in a remarkable way and make a difference every day – thank you! As a school we will be thanking and celebrating this group at a morning tea next week.

Included with this week's newsletter are draft copies of both our Strategic Plan [2019 – 2021] as well as our Annual Plan for 2019. Your feedback, either via email [This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ] or in writing on these documents will be appreciated. Please provide this feedback by Wednesday 12 September. Please feel free to drop in for a chat if there is any part of these documents which you would like to discuss further.

Wishing all our families a safe week.

Yours in Christ.
