Dear Parents and Caregivers
Over the past two days all of the students would have had the opportunity to participate in the Bus-it Safe Program. This program allows all of our students to either learn about, review or revisit how to be a safe passenger when waiting for, travelling on and disembarking from a bus – some great life skills being taught and reinforced here! Thank you Caboolture Bus Lines for making this invaluable program available to St Paul's through the Moreton Bay Regional Council Road Safety Grant Program.
Good luck to five of our Senior School athletes as they participate in the Regional Athletics Championships over the next two days. We look forward to hearing about and sharing their achievements with you.
On Friday we will be celebrating the many cultures which make up our school community by hosting a Cultural Awareness Afternoon. Every year level will have the opportunity to host and share with some of the other year levels a wealth of knowledge about the country and culture which they have chosen. The countries and cultures will include The Netherlands, USA, South Africa, Canada, Brazil, India and Fiji. These festivities will kick off at 1:35pm and you are warmly invited to attend and learn with your child's year level as they travel around the world on Friday afternoon.
Next Monday evening we will be hosting a Play is the Way Parent Information Session at 6:30pm. The Play is the Way Program is being adopted by all the classes and year levels at our school and will give participants a hands-on experience of this behaviour education program. This event is not a workshop on parenting but will illustrate how the program will work in the school to support the social and emotional learning of our children. There is a free sausage sizzle from 6pm onward and free child minding will also be made available on the night. Please contact the front office if you have not yet registered your attendance at this event. See you there!
We are also looking forward to our Year 6 students hosting their final School Sunday this coming weekend. The countdown to finishing their primary school journey and begin preparing for high school is well and truly underway for this wonderful group of students. Thank you in advance to the Year 6 teachers and support staff for the work done in planning and preparing for this event.
You are all warmly invited to attend our Music Showcase next Tuesday. This event will allow those students who are involved in our Instrumental Music, Classroom Music, School Choir and Grace Academy Programs to showcase their God-given talents with us. This event will start at 6pm on the night.
Have a wonderful week.
Yours in Christ.
