St Paul's Lutheran Primary School and Kindergarten

Caboolture, Queensland

Term 3 Week 10

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Our Year 6 students hosted and led their final School Sunday this past weekend. The theme of their School Sunday, "True Service", captured the essence of the enormous effort and role which they have played in our school this year. A Service mindset which grows a Servant-heart culture is not what we do at St Paul's, but who and what we are about at St Paul's.

Thank you to our Year 6 students for the rich message which they shared with us through song, dance, drama and readings. Thank you to the many parents, carers, family members and friends who attended to support the students on the day. A final thank you has to be extended to our Year 6 staff, led by Mr. Bellert, Mr. Riley and Miss Baker, for the time put into planning for and rehearsing with the students to ensure that the School Sunday flowed smoothly.

Well done to Abbey T, Oyin, O, Hayley S, Memory P and Oliver A, from our Senior School, on representing both the Caboolture Region and St Paul's at the Regional Athletics Championships last week. I am pleased to announce that 3 of these athletes, Hayley, Memory and Oyin, have been selected to represent the Sunshine Coast at the Queensland State Athletics Championships at the end of October in Cairns. We are all very proud of these students' achievements!
Last week Friday saw us celebrate 7 of the cultures which make up our wonderful school community as part of our Multi-Cultural Day at St Paul's – they were The Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, Fiji, India and the USA. Thank you to those parents who came in to share their wonderful journey and unique cultural experiences, sounds and flavours with us. One of my favourite dishes was the Brazilian Cheese Bread! Next year we hope to showcase another group of countries which make up our school population.

Good luck to those students who will be showcasing their wonderful talents at our Semester 2 Music Showcase tonight! This event will begin at 6pm – see you there!
As we come to the end of another very successful term of living, learning, growing and imagining at St Paul's, I would like to thank every family for their ongoing support, loyalty, feedback and transparent working relationship which we have with you. We also look forward to welcoming 6 new students [4 families] into our school at the beginning of next term.
Office hours over the Term Break will be from 10.00am until 2.00pm.

Wishing everyone a safe Spring break as we take this time to slow down, relax and spend quality time reconnecting with friends and family.

Yours in Christ.
