District Cross Country
Twenty-three of our remarkable runners attended the District Cross Country event last week. A wonderfully prepared and hosted event, perfect weather and immaculate conditions underfoot ensured a thoroughly enjoyable experience and a cracking pace for every course.
All our students competed brilliantly, giving a wonderful display of their talents and efforts across the 2km and 3km courses. In fact, such was the output amongst our athletes, that St Paul's placed first in our Divison of schools, indicating the highest level of performance across our District. When you consider that no less than 19 schools and 470 runners were involved, the performances of our boys and girls were quite remarkable. Each event had at least 70 competitors with a few age brackets hosting more than 90 runners.
Amongst a host of outstanding performances, Aiden M earned a District Champion medal as winner of the 11- year old boys and Ivy A placed 4th in the 10-year old girls event. Both Aiden and Ivy have qualified to represent Caboolture District at the next level of Carnival. The Regional event will be held later this month.
In addition to Aiden and Ivy, our full team consisted of :
Harvey F (9th), Indiana A (17th), Ava L (16th), Kobe P (top half), Ava P (10th), Konnah J (20th), Ding K (11th), Ellenore C (27th), Cameron K (top half), Allira C (top 60%), Eli M (31st), Callum B (18th), Kaleb J (31st), Leyla F (20th), Eli M (33rd), Anabelle M (top 60%), Deng D (top 75%), Chelsea M (top 75%), Caleb F (top 70%), Mila J (31st), Emma K (top 60%) and Cailin D (top 75%).
