From the Acting Deputy Principal
Our students are learning about the value of Appreciation. In honour of this, I would like to highlight my appreciation for the amazing staff at St Paul’s. We have a dedicated teaching team, grounds staff who work tirelessly to keep our school in top shape, admin staff who are approachable and wonderful administrators, Learning Assistants who go above and beyond to help our students achieve with a smile and connections in the community who support and help us to do our job as educators. Most of all, I appreciate the hilarious dad jokes and notes of gratitude that come through my post box from the students every day. By extension, I appreciate you as parents who are tasked with the hardest job of all. A wise women once said to me,“There is no perfect life, but in life, there are perfect moments. Hold onto these.” In the hustle and bustle of parenting, as a mum of three high school children in a busy period of our lives, this has been a timely reminder.
We have a number of events coming up to celebrate at St Paul’s. We have the Learning Expo this Thursday afternoon where I can’t wait to see all of our hard-working student’s work on display! Next week is of course our Bookweek celebrations. Our Library staff have been busy preparing an amazing Book Fair and activities including Book Blanket on Monday, Dress Up Parade on Wednesday and of course our very special Grandparents Day on Friday! Week 8 is our Father's Day stall and Father and Daughters' Event. Week 9 will see our Year 5 students embark on their team building camp from Tuesday to Friday. Walk My Way is a family friendly event that sees our Lutheran Ministries Community come together to raise money for refugee children. Our Free Dress Day on the last day of term will also go towards this ministry. Every $26 raised sends a child to school for a year! Finally, we will be spreading awareness for our Cyber Safety Week including our Rainbow Day! Please keep an eye out in your email and on Social Media, as all of the event information will be sent home via these platforms.
