St Paul's Lutheran Primary School (ABN 300 855 867 84) is a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District [LCAQD]. It works under the guidance and advice of Lutheran Education Queensland [LEQ].
The school is served at a national level though Lutheran Education Australia.
Prospective members of the St Paul's School Council petition the Schools Council of Lutheran Education Queensland (LEQ) for appointment to the prospective school council. The Schools Council of LEQ then submits a list of all nominees for the individual school council, to the District Church Council. The District Church Council then makes the appointment to individual school council. The Principal, as the CEO of the school, is an ex-officio member of the School Council.
The School Council acknowledges the Principal as the school's manager and educational leader. The council's role is to develop a framework of policies for the good management of the school. It also works to see that the school develops in a thoughtful and planned way, through the implementation of a strategic plan. It is the role of the Principal to see that council policies and plans are implemented. The School Council does not interfere with the day to day running of the school but leaves this to the Principal and staff.
