There are a variety of extra-curricular activities offered by the school. Some are weekly and others occur according to the school season. The most commonly occurring extra-curricular activities include the following:

Students gain a great deal from visiting venues that can demonstrate in practical ways the things they have been learning in class. Therefore all grades conduct excursions during the course of the year. The places visited depend on the topic being studied in class. During the year all year levels will attend - Naidoc Week and Bullying & eSmart Awareness Incursions.
Prep - Teddy Bear Hospital Incursion, Wild Writing Workshop Incursion, Build A Bear/Apple Store.
Year 1 - Australia Zoo, Redcliffe Cultural Centre.
Year 2 - Caboolture Excursion, Glasshouse Mountains Aboriginal Heritage Trail.
Year 3 - Bribie Butterfly House, Dr Joe Science Incursion, Camp – YMCA Outdoor Education (1 night).
Year 4 - Dakabin Waste Facility, St Helena Island, Bike Education PCYC, Camp – Luther Heights (2 nights).
Year 5 - Leadership Day, Camp – Total Adventures Noosa North Shore (3 nights).
Year 6 - Leadership Day, Canberra Camp (5 nights), Parlament House
The GLAD Centre is open daily from 8am - 3pm. Students can visit the library at lunch time to borrow books, play board games, read and do other quiet activities. They will also visit the library once a week with their class to borrow. Parents & caregivers are also invited to come and borrow before or after school.

NETBALL
Being active every day is important in childhood and can lay the foundations for a healthy and active life. The Grace St Paul's Sports Academy offers programs within the school environment to increase students' wellbeing by encouraging development through sports.

Grace Dance Academy Programmes at
St Paul's Lutheran Primary School
Grace Academy offers dance classes for boys and girls aged 3 - 13 years old. All dance ability levels are welcome and classes will cater to a wide range of student experiences. Not only are these classes fun,they are also designed to include dance techniques across a variety of styles, as well as learned choreography for performances.

Investment: $14.00* per lesson in 2023 (subject to annual review)

Jazz and Ballet are offered for this age group. The foundation of basic skills and techniques are built in these classes.

Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Lyrical/Contemporary are offered for this age group. Students learn and understand musicality, strength, flexibility, rhythm, and their repertoire of steps grows to help them grasp and achieve in their dance classes.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please note: Classes will require a minimum of 6 students to run and will be capped at a maximum of 15 students per class. Class times as listed are subject to change depending on class numbers. Students are invoiced per term based on the number of lessons expected to be received in the current term. Adjustments will be made in subsequent terms as required based on the number of actual lessons received in the previous term.

For known absences, students should, out of courtesy, provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice directly to their teacher or via email graceacademy@glc.qld.edu.au or fill in the online Student Absence Notice

For unknown absences such as student illness, notice of absence is required by the parent/guardian to the Grace Academy office via email graceacademy@glc.qld.edu.au, fill in the online Student Absence Notice or telephone 3897 2118 by 8:00am on the morning of the absence

Long-term absences due to illness/injury may be negotiated with the Director of Grace Academy

To help keep track of attendance, notes are sent home when students are absent from a lesson without notice

A non-refundable enrolment deposit of $25.00 per applicant is payable upon submitting all tuition applications to Grace Academy. The full amount of the enrolment deposit will be deducted from your first fees account once your application has been finalised. Should your application be withdrawn prior to commencement of lessons, the enrolment deposit will be forfeited in full.

Students intending to discontinue lessons are required to complete a ‘Notice of Intention to Discontinue Lessons’. Student’s advising of their intention to discontinue lessons are required to do so prior to the end of the current term in order to avoid any unnecessary additional fees in the subsequent term. Cancellation requests received after the commencement of term or during term will be invoiced for the full amount of the current term’s fees.
