iPad Program Expand

St Paul's is equipping its students with skills required to successfully navigate their futures with the responsible use of technology. In 2010 we implemented the integration of the one to one iPad program into the curriculum for Prep to Year 6.

From Year 1 to Year 6 this is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. Following are the purchasing requirements for students transitioning to Year 1 and for new students enrolling in Year 1 to Year 6.

Please be aware that we can no longer accept/setup older iPads running IOS 10 or below (including IOS 9.3.5).  Unfortunately, some frequently used class apps (i.e. Microsoft Word / PowerPoint) can no longer be updated or downloaded on older devices.

Current acceptable models (minimum 32gb) include:

Apple iPad 10.2 (7th generation)

Apple iPad 9.7” (5th& 6th generation)

Apple iPad Pro (all models)

Apple Air Series (NB: 2013 - 1st edition will not support IOS 13+)

Apple iPad Mini 2/3 (Note will not support IOS 13+)

Apple iPad Mini 4+

Setup Procedures:
Please bring your iPad to the School Office or to the Classroom Teacher, by:

  • Year 1: Week 5 Term 1.
  • Years 2-6 (new students): From Week 1 Term 1.

iPads should be clearly named and in a suitable protective case (i.e. Survivor Case or similar). If you have activated your iPad please advise us of your set passcode.

What happens during the setup process?

  • iPads are linked to our MDM (mobile device management) software, to enable us to send apps and other information.
  • A school Apple ID/iCloud account is created EXCEPT where there is a home account already present. Please note: Students are not given or required to know school Apple ID passwords. If parents wish to disclose this information, they may do so at their discretion. Credit cards should not be linked to school Apple accounts.
  • A student email account will be assigned.
  • iPads will be connected to the school Wifi.
  • New iPads will be assigned a generic ‘passcode’ (to get on to device).
  • Basic restrictions will be enabled. Parents are welcome to adapt restrictions to suit device user.
  • iPads will be returned to class after setup.
  • Setup details will be sent home in a sealed envelope via student (unless otherwise organised).

If you have any questions, please contact the school: or email the iPad Teacher Assistant at email: ipadadmin@stpaulslps.onmicrosoft.com

Introducing the LLL

LLL Australia is a charitable financial institution which provides savings accounts and has been trusted since 1921.

The LLL prides itself on providing savings accounts that are simple and fee free, with a great interest rate. The LLL has a variety of savings accounts: personal and joint accounts; guardian accounts for children; and Business accounts, including self-managed super funds and not-for-profit organisations.

LLL Savings Accounts have many features, including:

  • A great interest rate
  • No fees or charges at all
  • Internet banking
  • No minimum balance or deposit requirements
  • No ‘bonus’ interest hurdles
  • Your money is available to withdraw at any time.

Using an LLL Savings Account is an easy method of saving for a goal or target.

As an Authorised Deposit-taking Institution (ADI), the LLL is regulated under the Banking Act and by APRA. The LLL is the only charitable ADI in Australia and is a great ethical alternative to the major banks. The LLL has been supporting the Lutheran Church of Australia’s (LCA) community (including Lutheran Schools) for nearly 100 years.

The LLL provides loans to approved LCA projects, such as upgrades to Lutheran schools, churches and care facilities, with surpluses assisting the LCA in its mission.

We welcome you to get to know us more at www.lll.org.au

Matching Deposits

The concept of Matching Deposits is a unique facility offered by the LLL and provides an ingenious way to support a particular project within the LCA, such as Lutheran School projects. Approved LCA projects are able to borrow funds from the LLL to the total amount of Matching Deposits at a competitive interest rate.

Any LLL Savings Account can be a Matching Deposit to support an LCA project loan and it does not change the financial status of your LLL account.  You can make deposits and withdrawals as usual and the account still earns a great rate of interest.  An LLL Matching Deposit does not act like an off-set account.

Ask your Principal or Business Manager about how LLL Matching Deposits benefit your school.
