St Paul's Lutheran Primary School is owned and operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District. The District Church Board (DCB) is the incorporated body legally accountable for Lutheran schools in Queensland, and in that capacity, it is the governing body for the Schools and Colleges of the District.
The Church appoints, and delegates local governance responsibility to the Council of St Paul's Lutheran Primary School. This body is responsible for the appointment of the Principal, broad policy setting, the strategic vision, master plan, building programs, financial and risk management, and the ethos and well-being of the School.
There are up to ten members with backgrounds in areas including education, finance, theology, law, and business, drawn from the Lutheran Church and other Christian Churches. They meet with the management team of the School on a monthly basis. There are also a number of sub committees which meet regularly, and the School Executive team are consultants to the Council.
The Council ensures that the School operates in accordance with the confessions and practice of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
