From the Principal

Service is not a glamorous concept. Who in their right mind would sign up for a life of service? And yet that is what God has in mind for his people. God knows how service to others will bless us as well as the community around us.

Our Value we are focusing in on in our classrooms and in Chapel is Courage Deuteronomy 31:6-8 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the LORD swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.  The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Swimming for Prep-Year 6 students will be held over Weeks 7 and 8, 14 – 25th November.  An email with all of the information has been sent out to families.  Please see the timetable below:

Family Book Club
At the end of this term, we will be celebrating Christmas...but a grumpy someone wants to spoil our party! Read The Grinch with your family and come to the movie afternoon in the Library (details on the flyer attached). RSVPs are essential by 15.11.22. Let's bring the Christmas spirit alive to show the Grinch who is boss!
Read, Write Inc
We are in full swing of lessons for this cycle of Read Write Inc. Lessons will finish at the end of Week 5 and we ask for all readers to be returned to your child's classroom teacher by Friday of Week 5. Mrs Russell, Mrs Newman and I will be doing the final testing for the year in the coming weeks and look forward to reading with your child.
Seeing the confidence and joy grow in reading this year through this program has been amazing. We look forward to what is to come for our students in the Read, Write Inc program in 2023!

Inside Story Year 4

Year 4 had a fantastic opportunity to travel to Maranatha Recreation Camp at Boulder Creek for two nights and three days.
Over the three days students participated in Ringtail Ropes, The Tower of Tremble, Bridge Building, A Campfire Experience, swimming, Archery, A Creek Exploration, A Movie Night, the Giant Swing and sketching of Boulder Creek.
Students had the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and some were even able to conquer their fears! We were thankful that the weather held out during the camp so all activities could still run.
The behaviour of all Year 4 students throughout the camp was very impressive and they should be all very proud of their accomplishments.
